It contains a set of routines for converting to and from a portable bitmap format developed by Jef Poskanzer. You can convert the Sun icon to the portable bitmap and then from the portable bitmap to X11 bitmap format. It supports a number of other formats as well (macpaint, GIF, Sun raster etc.) It also contains a number of utilities for manipulating bitmaps as well. (Cut and Paste, inverting, flipping).
