I am having problems with the Xqdsg server under Ultrix Workstation Software V2.0 (running on Ultrix V3.0) on a color (4 plane) VaxStation 2000. In particular, CLX running under Franz Common Lisp consistantly gives an error under xlib::query-font: Debug: Reply out of sequence for display #. Expected 7, Got 1792 I have noted that 7*256=1792, so maybe there is a big-endian, little-endian problem here, but: 1) I can run GNU Emacs using X just fine on the server, and 2) why does it get as far as sequence number 7 before having the problem? I have also observed a few other probable Xqdsg bugs including problems with Pixmaps and the XYPixmap image format. If anyone knows anything helpful (like patches, etc.) I would very much like to hear about it. I have reported the problems to DEC/UWS support, but they have come up with nothing. The CLX problem is a MAJOR problem! Any and all help or pointers to help will be greatly appreciated!
