Keywords: MINITEL France gateways Message-ID: <374@h.cs.wvu.wvnet.edu> Date: 19 May 89 22:18:26 GMT Sender: news@h.cs.wvu.wvnet.edu Lines: 14 I was looking over some public domain PC software that I received from a bulletin board in New York. The software originated in France, and the author left an electronic mail address that is for people with a Minitel. The address was a username "at" four 8-bit numbers separated by periods (very much like an internet address). I gave it a try, but there is no such node on our name server here. My question is, can I send mail to users on the Minitel system via some gateway between internet and Minitel? As I understand it, a great number of people in France have access to Minitel, and that would be a great way to communicate to people in the US or any other country on internet/bitnet. -Cris
