Readers in the NY area can see one of these (or something that, from the description, is the same idea) at the Cradle of Aviation Museum at Mitchell Field, in Uniondale, in the shadow of the Nassau Coliseum. The museum specializes in aviation and space artifacts that were manufactured on, or bear some other relationship to, Long Island, NY. Lots of Grumman and Republic warplanes, missiles, spacecraft, early planes, etc. Was the DASH ever operational? The one I saw looked pretty flaky. ----- Jan Wolitzky, AT&T Bell Labs, Murray Hill, NJ; 201 582-2998; mhuxd!wolit (Affiliation given for identification purposes only)
