I tried to use Refer but found bugs. For example, the minimum number of characters that indexbib considers a word (default:3) could not be changed (using the mtab -l option). Indexbib behaved unreliably if this option was set to a number other than three. The bug was reported to Sun but I am still left without a DB program. Do you know of simple public domain database program(s) for storing literature references? I am also curious if there exists a Sun version of dBaseIII. Please e-mail me your reply.
