I wish to offer a database of contacts (names and addresses) for users to enquire on using simple searches (indexed with keywords). I'm looking for a cheap (free?) database in C that can operate happily with the DOS ctty driver (redirect input and output to COM1: for dial-up modem use), and that will be able to be ported to the UNIX environment when I move the BBS over. Any ideas? At present I suspect I'll have to buy a Btree or Ctree library and write the thing myself. Has anyone invented this wheel? Thanks, -- Paul Gillingwater, Computer Sciences of New Zealand Limited Bang: ..!uunet!dsiramd!csnz!paul Domain: paul@csnz.co.nz Call Magic Tower BBS V21/23/22/22bis 24 hrs +0064 4 767 326
