The path here is really offbeat: host-Develcon-T1-Develcon-modem My guess was that flow-control wasn't happening in real-time with all the intermediaries, so that using "-l" would force explicit handshaking. It takes a bit of a performance hit, but I still get over 200 cps on a 2400 baud modem.
