I also would appreciate it if some kind person would post this to the vms emacs newsgroup, as I do not have access to that group. -- JAT] I am requesting a fix for the VMS version of dired. The documentation states Type f to Find the current line's file (or Dired it, if it is a directory). However, on VMS machines when one types f on the line containing a subdirectory, one receives a Dired listing which contains one line, e.g. ETC.DIR (....) if ETC.DIR was the one you wanted to look at. It does NOT give you a listing of all the files in [.ETC] which is what it would do on a unix system. Can anyone fix this? I don't know Lisp at all so I am pretty lost. JT
