Based on three years expereince with other laser-type printers
(mostly the Apple Laserwriter) and six months experience with the
NEC LC-890, it is my professional opinion that the NEC sucks dead
bunnies through a straw.

Our LC-890 oftens cuts off in the middle of a print job.  It looks like
somebody yanked the cord out of the wall.  The only way to revive it is
to turn the switch off, wait a minute, then turn it back on.  The problem
is intermitent in that it never happens when the service tech is near.
