I can live with this, but it is exasperating when ELM dumps the letter contents onto dead.letter without any warning. If I edit the headers I get a warning that the address is bad, so I can fix it. Would it be hard to modify ELM so that when the address is invalid it invokes the headers menu? This would be a lot easier to cope with than having to retransmit the entire reply after editing down a huge dead.letter file. -- Bill Silvert, Habitat Ecology Division.
