You certainly are not the only one who has had to aluminize keys.
This kind of reminds me of the time when the Atari 130XE first came
out.  They had similar problems with their keyboards.  The question is
has Commodore fixed this problem (as well as the problems with the
A500 powersupply) in their new machines.
