The incentive was to play with dnet-nfs. Neat hack, Matt! Needs work, of course... it crashed the nfs-handler (I think) when I tried to "mv file dir"... and had errors creating directories. And, of course, everything is timestamped (in the Amiga's perception) to 1996 or so... But it's useful, nonetheless. Anyway, I also went to put mg back on my system disk, (dme is small & fast, but too awkward in ways... I *like* emacs.) and finally, I got mg2a to fit (removed TaskControl, switched from MachII to QMouse) and found that mg2a will not work with dnet-nfs... it will read directories just fine, but on any attempt to open a file (e.g. home:.cshrc) it would take a while, locking the chain of the path, and then open RAM:.../.cshrc instead, saying "new file". Grr. I tried it with mg1b, and everything works fine. I don't know what's causing it. Anyway, my question is: where can I find a copy of mg2b (or whatever the most recent version is), preferably one that will run resident? Deven -- shadow@[128.113.10.2] Deven T.
