It does not guru if I boot in 68000 mode, and it does not guru if I run a memory test program that I compiled to be placed in chip ram as the first thing in my startup. As soon as this memory test program is complete, it then gurus, even though the memory test indicated all ok. I take this to mean that there is a problem with the board having two successive memory dips into 32 bit ram until everything is warmed up. This is clearly a problem, since I do *not* mant to have to wait 5 mins. every time I boot before I use my machine. But the store I bought it from says the only solution is to cart up the whole 2500, even though it is a problem with just the 2620, and send it back to Commodore. I can't afford to have my amiga gone the amount of time it would take for them to get around to sending me something back. Anyone have any suggestions or related experiences that might be of help?
