Now..I just ordered the Prodos 8 software from APDA about a month ago. One of the questions I specifically asked them was: "I know you use to require Licensing system software from Apple, but do I need to License Prodos 8 to ship with a product" The person on the other end of the phone stated "NO, you do not need to license prodos to ship it with you product" I then asked if I needed to license any of the Macintosh system software to ship a product. He also stated NO. Since APDA is now the domain of Apple Computer, I figured he knew what he was talking about. I think that the APDA people should be sent a memo about this BIG difference in opinion! As I am going to ship a new product out in both Prodos 8, and one with Macintosh system software this coming week, and one in the near future with GS/OS. Guess I better hold back and get better information? Or ship with the gospel APDA information. Scott Hutinger mser001@ecncdc.bitnet
