MAYBE Capital Equipment Corporation or IOTech make an Apple II bus-GPIB card. Check their ads in BYTE. If you want to roll your own, start with a NEC 7210. Don't use the TI9914. If you don't want to roll your own but can't find a card for the slot but you can find a serial interface, National Instruments makes a line of serial-GPIB converters (I wrote half the firmware for these: my babies!) that you can use, even a self-contained Z80 computer with FORTH (I did the interpreter all by my lonesome self) if you want extreme versatility. I know the serial-GPIB converters are about three times as expensive as a card that goes into a slot, but that may be your best bet. -Tex Arcana@Pro-Lep
