I have received a few replies concerning the possibility of hooking up a
floppy disk drive to the dma port.  I will post them to the net in about
a week.  I just wanted to post this now, because Paul Gross asked me to
let him know what I find out, and I was not able to email him directly.
Anyway, I'll get the summary up here sometime after Memorial Day.
