Subject: chained packet panic on DEQNA (uvaxII) ?

We are crashing on our Microvax II with a DEQNA with the panic message
"qe: chained packet".

Any idea on what this means?  It usuallly happens when "rlogin"ing
or "ftp"ing to a remote host.
