If you strip the binary, you lose the debugging information, but the size goes does to about 240K from 360K. However, 20 megabytes is almost certainly not enough swap space anyway, especially if you are using DECwindows applications, since they use lots of memory. We have our DS3100's configured with 64 megabytes of swap space, and I find the amount I use varies from 20 to 45 megabytes. Alec Wolman Digital Cambridge Research Lab wolman@crl.dec.com
