The cable that I have used from the Multiplexer to the modem has the following pin outs. Is the multiplexer a DTE or DCE ? From the wiring, I would assume it is a DCE, am I right ?? Any help would be much appreciated. Boon ---------- You might try a cable that is end-end, i.e., 2-2, 3-3, 7-7, etc. The 98196 mux panel (to the best of my knowledge) is DTE and you only reverse 2 & 3 when hooking a modem or DCE devices to it (like some printers). Otherwise, try a standard straight through cable. It works with HP terminals.
