Computer and/or Bullet-286 AT motherboard Message-ID: <24131@shemp.CS.UCLA.EDU> Date: 21 May 89 02:19:30 GMT Sender: news@CS.UCLA.EDU Reply-To: wales@CS.UCLA.EDU (Rich Wales) Distribution: na Organization: UCLA Computer Science Department Lines: 16 I am considering buying a "Bullet-286" 10-MHz AT motherboard (8-slot version) from a company in Salt Lake City called "D.P. Computer". According to the ad on page 193 of the May _Computer Shopper_, this board has ROM code for using the top 384K of the 1 meg of on-board RAM as a disk cache. The company claims a 2-year warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Has anyone on the net dealt with D.P. Computer and/or a "Bullet-286" AT motherboard? Any comments, good or bad? -- Rich Wales // UCLA Computer Science Department // +1 (213) 825-5683 3531 Boelter Hall // Los Angeles, California 90024-1596 // USA wales@CS.UCLA.EDU ...!(uunet,ucbvax,rutgers)!cs.ucla.edu!wales "Now, drop your weapons, or I'll kill him with this deadly jelly baby."
