Try contacting Symbologic (17019 Jeanette Avenue, Cerritos, CA 90703,
213-926-2823).  They offer a bar coding packing for $79 complete, no 
royalties, UPC, EAN, CODABAR, Code39, Interleaved 2 of 5.  Although I am 
not a bar code expert this software seems to work.
