We do run LaTex with TeXtures. It will crash with high probability if it has anything less than about 850K. Eliminate all INITs, TOPS, Suitcase, etc. Anything that reserves memory. You can use "Init cdev" to make the process convenient. On a Mac Plus, you might be better off using an older System File (before 6.0). We run 6.0.2 on our SEs and manage to get about 864K for TeXtures. On my SE/30 at home, I use 6.0.3 and get about 871K. Like I said, anything less than 850K---forget it. John Doner doner@hub.ucsb.edu
