It is based on the Motorola 56001 (same chip as the NeXT uses) and seems very well designed. The technical specs claim "1024 point FFT < 4 ms." There is an article by the board designers in the current issue of Computer Music Journal. Digidesign offers developer discounts and provide utilities to integrate DSP code into your Mac programs. I recommend checking it out. Digidesign 1360 Willow Road Ste. 101 Menlo Park, CA 94025 (415) 327-8811 I have no affiliation with the company and I own one of the boards. Roger Corman
