They evidently did, in this months devleoper packet, along with the Excellent CD, came an offer for a pretty good price on the CD SC. Aditionally, it would be pretty difficult (read costly) for Apple to distribute 100+ floppies. 100 floppies is not even close to enough space to handle the capacity of one CD. It is regrettable, but how else to distribute the amount of data in a cost effective manner?
