We have two machines, one with a 660M drive. The disked machine, named scherzo, is acting as a configuration server. I added a host using NetManager, setting the root=scherzo:/ and private=scherzo:/clients/allegro. The diskless machine is allegro. I then used newclients to set up /clients/allegro on scherzo. I also set up /etc/exports to export / and /clients/allegro. Lastly, I copied /mach to /private/tftpboot/mach on scherzo. When allegro tries to boot, it gets BOOTP info from scherzo okay but then when it tries to download /private/tftpboot/mach, it times out and says, "File not found". Any suggestions? They are both on the same local Ethernet which is a class C subnet. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Nowak ...mailrus!shogun!mike Workstation Consultant mike@shogun.cc.umich.edu U of M Computing Center User Services Mike_Nowak@um.cc.umich.edu ...working for but in no way representing the University of Michigan...
