    I am having great difficulty connecting my remote-sited cube
to the vaxen at the university. I built a cable per provided spec,
altered occurrences of "cul0" to "cua" in /etc/remote, but get
this after the modem successfully dials the number provided in
this command line:    [I'm using the A port]

ERROR in input

Cannot synchronize with hayes...
Cannot synchronize with hayes...

It keeps trying to redial, each time unsuccessfully. The only  way
I can get out of this job is by killing it, successive attempts to
use tip provoke a "All ports busy" error message. I am using a
Practical Peripherals PM2400SA modem, our dialups are 1200.

IF anyone has had success in this, or knows the cause of these
error messages, please email me, I'll summarize.
