Bollinger I have the printer problem whether I use a graphics driver (such as the ProPrinter driver) or the Generic/Text Only driver. When using the Text driver, if I want to print out the string 'ABC', I will get nothing but lines and lines of 'AAAAAAAAAAA'. If I put the printer into hex mode (where it prints the hex code of each character instead of the character itself) I, of course, get lines and lines of 41 41 41 41 41. Obviously, for some reason, Windows keeps repeating the character to the printer, thinking it never got through. Sometimes I get no printout, and the spooler pops up with a printer not ready error. killer!igloo!andyross, andyross@ddsw1.MCS.COM ****************************************************************** The proper driver to utilize is the one marked "IBM GRAPHICS", not the one for the "IBM Proprinter" as it is a different animal altogether. I use the "IBM Graphics" printer driver on my machine, and I have had no problems using it with my DMP-430 printer. The "Generic/Text Only" driver is strictly for that, text only. It is useful for really old or obsolete printers or Daisy Wheel type printers. It does not support graphics at all. *********************************************************************** Earl W.
