Keywords: VT100 TRS-80 IV P Message-ID: <7519@bsu-cs.bsu.edu> Date: 31 May 89 19:14:16 GMT Organization: CS Dept, Ball St U, Muncie, IN, USA Lines: 22 Greetings, all... I'm posting this for a friend of mine who doesn't know anything about the Net... Responses in E-mail please, as I am not a regular reader of this newsgroup. My friend has a TRS-80 -- he claims it's a "model IVP" or "model 4P" -- with a 1200-baud modem, which he uses as a terminal to the University's Vax- cluster system. He's using (I'm not familiar with the details) some sort of "dumb terminal" program "on the system disk," but wants to find a VT100 ter- minal emulator instead so that he can use text editors, etc., which rely on VT100 escape sequences for screen control and so forth. I have *no idea* whether this is an outlandish request or a completely reasonable one; please E-mail any information about whether VT100 emulation has been written for his type of computer, and if so, where we might obtain a copy. Thanks in advance, from both of us. Chris Chiesa -- UUCP: !{iuvax,pur-ee,uunet}!bsu-cs!cfchiesa cfchiesa@bsu-cs.UUCP
