Keywords: xenix parallel Message-ID: <205@melpar.UUCP> Date: 30 May 89 14:19:51 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: E-Systems, Falls Church, VA Lines: 15 I have to add a parallel footpedal device to my system and can't find much parallel documentation in IBM Xenix 2. The device comes with its' own card. My questions are: * is it possible to talk to it using only an application program (no driver)? Has anyone had luck doing this with the memory device? * can the parallel driver already in the system be used to talk to another device simply by changing the interrupt vector in the master file? * does anyone have a parallel driver source in the public domain? * in the current IBM Xenix is it possible to do such things as nonblocking I/O with the parallel driver? * any other suggestions are appreciated thanks Doug Toppin uunet!melpar!toppin
