It has a "plug and play" installed (a new chip which makes it look like a ibm graphics printer), and is located on lpt1:. When I try and print from write the spooler comes up and after a few seconds says "Cannot write to LPT1:". I tried many different drivers includeing the strait ascii dump and all had this same result. Nothing prints. When I abort the spooler, the printhead moves a bit, like when you put it back on line. No other software has had problems talking to the printer and if from a program I do a write to the lpt1: device it works fine. ANY CLUES?? ----------- pwaech@uscscb.uscsc.edu ---------
