Even in the restrictive academic environment trades and back-door swaps could be arranged. Perhaps some administrative office wants to run Microsoft Word or a spread-sheet, or do desktop-publishing? So it isnt just "tough luck." Look on the bright side, a MAC-II is still worth *something*, what if you had blown $100k on a Symbolics machine? -gjc
