                  "Asymptotic Analysis of Closed Queueing
              Models for Computer and Communication Systems"

Several techniques that help in treating closed queueing models for
computer and communication systems with a large number of components are
presented, including two different integral representations for the
partition function and WKB-approximation.  Exact and approximate
expressions are derived and compared for the performance measures of
multiprocessor systems with crossbar and multiple-base interconnection
neworks.
