I was wondering if anyone has used a Nucleogen-DEAE-4000 column
(Macherey-Nagel, Duren, F.R.G.) to purify a cDNA insert from the
vector after doing a restriction digest.  I have spend the last 3
weeks trying to get the method to work and have been
unsuccessful.  My reference for this work is Hecker, et al [J
Chromat. 326(1985):251-261].  If anyone has had success with this
column or knows of other references I would appreciate hearing
from you.
