My question is this: what is the best way to transfer the data files from the old (286) server to the new (386) one? Is it possible to have the two servers on the network at the same time and transfer the files directly from one to the other, even though they are different Novell versions? Which driver software would I use in the workstations while doing this, the old 2.0a drivers or the 2.15 SFT drivers? Can I upgrade the old server to 2.15, and then copy the files? This would seem to be a violation of the liscence agreement. Since it is only for a short time during installation, does it count as acceptable use? Do I really have to do a backup of the system & then restore it on the new server? My tape backup unit doesn't back up the binderly files, but BINDFIX does. Can I use the same version of BINDFIX that works on 2.0a to load the bindery into 2.15? Any other ideas will be most certainly entertained. Thanks alot!!!!!! Dan benderly@cs.columbia.edu P.S. If an interest is shown, I will summarize to the net
