I too have run into this dilema of transferring from one server to another. If you put both servers on the same network you can log into both at once (doesn't matter which shell, use the latest one, 2.15), and then copy the files (use ncopy) from one server to the other. Then use LARCHIVE SYSTEM to backup the first server (to local hard disk), but do not select any files to backup. Then LRESTORE SYSTEM to the other server. If you have two workstations you can run both at once. I moved about 30MB of files and trustee rights in about 10 minutes. Did it from Netware 86 2.0a to Netware 286 2.12. -- Tim Lange. Purdue U.
