The variable Info-directory in ../lisp/paths.el controls where the files will be found. I changed this to where I had some other info files, but C-h i complains and refuses to startup unless there is an info directory file; dir. It would nice if there was someway to tell info to run on a set of nodes not in the normal place and with no dir file being present. Anyone no how to do this?
