Not really. The 80x86 are bad (especially x > 2). The 80286 is just brain damaged, not a toy really, just a labotomized chip. The 8086 isn't bad with LIM EMS 4.0. You may regard the 80x86 family as a toy, and that is your opinion, but just remember, there are those of us who can and have worked out the brain damaged hardware. Even the best Unix boxes have their problems, the Unisys 7000 is a classic example with its brain damaged floating point instructions. So before you go harping on our 'toys', take a good look at your own hardware first. I have yet to see anything that is perfect when it comes to hardware.
