I talked to the author and he told me that the first shipments of the software went out with a bug that messes up communication with the parallel port. The serial port is fine (I have been transfering files and communicating with Versaterm ) but not the part that addresses the parallel port. They took my name and address and promised to send me the fixed version that day.
