Because they were different people. And the people that were managing
the software as well as the company that was responsible for AmigaDos
had an ( atleast to us programmers at amiga) unreasonable bias against
unix.

It was a battle that many of us did not want to fight since we had our
own fires that were blazing out of control. ;-)
