And interestingly enough, in CA it is illegal to charge someone a surcharge for using a charge card. [You see all those bank lobbiests are good for something] There is a place locally called Fry's Electronics that got nailed by this law. Now it isn't illegal to give a discount for cash, (which astute readers will notice is almost the same thing) just to charge extra for credit cards.
