Thanks to all who replied publicly and privately regarding my queries about
the HP Deskjet Plus. I purchased one yesterday. The quality of the output
is impressive, particularly for the price. Now I have to get a font
cartridge or two, some memory, and learn how to create soft fonts.

One annoyance is that, using a print program I put together to control
various print attributes while printing plain text files, I get a blank
page after each page I print. Perhaps this is related to the fact that my
program controls the paging by sending form feeds. The printer seems to
want to control the page-feeding itself (???). Can anybody shed some light
on this? Is there a new driver that deals with this? I'm using the one from
1.3 Extras.
