Keywords: undelete recover hard drive Message-ID: <7923@saturn.ucsc.edu> Date: 12 Jun 89 03:00:35 GMT Sender: usenet@saturn.ucsc.edu Reply-To: odin@ucscb.UCSC.EDU (Jon Granrose) Organization: University of California, Santa Cruz Lines: 34 I posted a similar request earlier but I think it got nuked by the local server (we've been having problems with full devices). Anyway, I accidently deleted an nroff source file on my A2000 which was fairly important. I tried using disksalv 1.4 with ASK but it didn't work (I a couple problems with DiskSalv and my janus.device hard drive but that's another story). I also tried Sectorama with no luck. I didn't write anything to my disk after deleting the file but I am not that familiar with Sectorama. My request is this: 1) Could someone tell me if there is a program to recover files off of hard drives and what it is or why it cannot be done. 2) Could someone mail the tutorial on Sectorama and the Amiga Disk structure that was posted awhile back (like last year). I looked at my copy and it stops right after giving a summary of how to explore a floppy disk. All I want to do is make sure that I never have to go through what I had to do to get a file back (and please nothing on backups, this was nuked while I was making backups - it's a long story).
