For word processing, spreadsheets, and other administrative
tasks, we use Apple Macintoshes. For doing number crunching
(ie. doing programming to solve our particular problems in
the earth sciences) we currently use Apollo workstations ...
but almost all of our collegues use Sun workstations and we
are beginning to switch over to Sun for that reason.
