There are plenty of standard resource types--they may not be defined in the Resource Manager chapter, but they're defined. No, there is not a whole lot of compatibility with Mac resources. We have 1-word resource types and 2-word resource IDs (the mac has 4-character resource types and 1-word IDs). Probably the format of the String resources is pretty compatible, but I haven't really looked. Most stuff is different.
