It only lasts about a week and then things are back to normal. From the way things look the problem may not be with the montior but rather with the video chip. Try resocketing it and pressing on the board around it while power is off (obviously). Many people have written about the problem but I have never responded because it does no harm and will go away after a while. It has nothing to do with the accessible adjustments of the monitor.
