  Ooooch, what a problem, but perhaps i know the answer......

  Every time i know the ST series has different problems with
  sockets of GLUE and MMU (quad ships on the motherboard), so
  the thing to do is to open your ST and fix the chips by
  pressing on them (but be careful....!).

  That should fix the (contact) problem...
