Lines: 19 Using RedRyder 10.3, I'm wondering about the where, what and how of down- loading. There are several dial-up BBS's that I know how to download from directly (using XMODEM), but I'm wondering about downloading from Usenet and FTP archives. Specifically, if I am using RedRyder to dialup a machine on which I can read Usenet (with 'rn'), how do I go about downloading/unpacking/unbinhexing the articles from comp.binaries.mac? Secondly, if I can use FTP to access mac-archives (e.g., Sumex?), and get these files to a Unix system which is dialable from the Mac (that is, the same one which I read Usenet on), how do I go about dowloading/etc.? Any suggestions (preferrably by email) would be greatly appreciated. -- "I am a die-hard Republican (having shouted down Dukakis)..." --Theodore A.
