Message-ID: <107944@sun.Eng.Sun.COM> Date: 3 Jun 89 05:48:41 GMT Sender: news@sun.Eng.Sun.COM Reply-To: kcr@sun.com (Kevin Rushforth) Organization: Sun Microsystems, Mountain View Lines: 15 I have just ordered a pair of 1 Mbyte SIMMs (from Technology Works in Austin TX, thanks to a couple of recommendations on the net) for my MAC Plus and I have a rather unusual question. The upgrade from 1 Mbyte to 2.5 Mbytes will leave me with a spare pair of 256K SIMMs. My father still owns a vintage Macintosh with 128K (if you can believe it). Can the old 256K SIMMs from my Plus be used to upgrade my Dad's machine to 512K? If so, what else needs to be done to upgrade to a 512Ke? Thanks in advance for any info. -- Kevin C.
