First what is typical of the machine that your new employer uses: PC (8088/86), AT (286), 386? Do these machines have hard disks? Is there any specific vendor? This last may be the most important. What software will you have to run (if not specific applications, at least a general idea)? You mention wanting to "connect to my MAC" what do you mean by this? For seamless integration of MS-DOS and Macintosh you can use Soft PC, this product emulates (albeit slowly) an MS-DOS machine. A faster alternative would one of the compatiblility cards or a 680{2,3}0 accelerator card to increase emulation speed. On the other hand these solutions are expensive; if you need just a simple machine with floppies the cost could be less than $800. ps My mail to you bounced perhaps the same happened to the others. -- Tony Stieber astieber@csd4.milw.wisc.ed att!uwmcsd1!uwmcsd4!astieber Computing Services Division Microcomputer Consultant
