Upgrade to at least MacDraw II 1.0v4.  This and later versions add the
ability to toggle the new Fractional Fonts feature of the ROMS
using the preferences dialog.  Whenever this is turned on
(and pre 1.0v4 versions always had it on) font substitution
is disabled.  

Warning: With Fractional Fonts turned off, MacDraw II is less WYSIWYG.
